Happy Cinco de Mayo!

I am not Mexican – but I love any excuse to have a colourful party!  And if there are margaritas and guacamole involved… I’m in!

It’s fiesta time!

These margarita cupcakes are very cute. Oh, “Hostess with the Mostess” is such a great source of party planning and entertaining ideas. If you are not yet familiar with the blog, I gotta warn ya: you will get sucked in there for hours, and possibly get very hungry.  You’re welcome!

The margarita cupcakes are awesome, but considering that it is cinco de mayo I will need the real deal.  Do you like margaritas on ice or frozen margaritas?  I’m personally a frozen margarita gril

I know that the sour lime margaritas with salt may not be your thing (but I still think you’re wrong…), so you can modify the margarita by adding watermelon! Recipe is available on ‘the kitchn‘.

If you add cupcakes, margaritas, guacamole and awesome patio decorations together you end up with a pool party and you certainly need to dress for the occasion!  Perhaps you can even pretend that you actually are in Mexico (since I’m in Toronto, there will be no bikini for me today!)
