Long weekend adventures in Quebec City
This weekend I had so many things to REVEL in: good food, warm weather, exploring a new city, hanging out with friends, and fun little adventures. Ah life is pretty good!
What a fabulous Victoria Day long weekend in Canada! We spent two great days in beautiful Quebec City, and ended with a perfect summer day in Toronto. Man but the weather was incredible!
This was my first time in Quebec City and it is truly a beautiful city. So old and charming and clean and littered with awesome restaurants and cute little shops along steep and narrow streets.
And how cute are these people cutouts prancing around in the air with their bright flowers??
Lots of mysterious lane ways with cool patios at the back.
This is the church where our friends got married! The wedding was incredibly stunning (I knew it would be because the bride is gorgeous and has fantastic taste). Sorry I don’t have any pictures of the wedding right now – I only brought my big camera on our trip and I did not want to carry it around while wearing my cute little dress and purse…
And this is how a big chunk of our weekend went down: me taking pics while Derek patiently waits for me – thanks babe! Can you see us in the windows?
SO many cute French shops!!
And lots of patio time to rest our tired legs and get some refreshments because it was very hot indeed!
We were only in QC until Sunday night, so with Monday being a holiday it meant that we had one whole day to spend in Toronto enjoying the amazing summer weather! Yesterday was the first time that we busted out our rollerblades this season and went for a 2 hour ride along Lake Ontario. So fun, so hot, and thankfully no accidents
And then our weekend ended with a bang (literally!) as we watched fireworks in the Beach. There were so many people out, parking their lawn chairs, bringing their kids in their PJs and filling flasks with hot drinks. (Sorry for the bad night time pics!)
I hope you had a great weekend too and are all refreshed and ready for the week ahead!
I think summer has officially started!

your photos are gorgeous! i’ve only been to Quebec once, but it was just driving through. next time i’ll know i need to stay and have a great time!

Laura and Ashley – when I was packing for the weekend and doing the mental checklist in my head I TOTALLY for a moment thought I had to pack my passport!

Thanks for sharing the photos of your trip! I didn’t get to go away for the long weekend, but thanks to your photos I got to take a little mental vacation
I also checked out the fireworks yesterday at The Beach. Were you at Ashbridge’s Bay too? The weather was so perfect!
