Vegan Cracker Figamajigs

There is something you need to know about me.  I am a grazer.  I love to eat little bits at a time… and then eat all day long. What’s not to love?  When it comes to eating out or entertaining I also love tapas style dining. Little bits of this, little bits of that.  A lot of times when I entertain I love to have platters of different food and flavours so that my guests can make up their own plates.

I also love to mix sweet and savoury – it keeps my taste buds interested and excited!  A late summer afternoon little platter should contain some fresh and sweet figs…

…and some herbed goat cheese (which is growing on me by the way! And yes, I realize it’s not vegan)…

…all stacked up nicely on top of some homemade crackers!

These crackers are very yummy and crispy.  I love crackers that are crunchy and seedy, and these have almonds, sesame seeds and sunflower seeds in them.  Very hardy, thick and crunchy!  And they are vegan to boot!

{recipe from here}

Ok, now I am ready for some guests!  And also a nice glass of chardonnay.

    yum!
    my parents bought some figs last week while they were home. i haven’t had fresh ones in years, and it was lovely to indulge again. they are so beautiful.
    i imagine they’d be great w/ goat cheese.
